We are fast approaching a scheduled June 9, 2007 opening of the beautiful CHESTNUT RUN SWIM BEACH, located on the shores of the Shenango Lake Reservoir, directly off Route 846, in South Pymatuning Township, (Sharpsville), PA. Preparations are being made to open the beach facilities for the summer swimming season on Saturday, June 9, 2007 when the Chestnut Run Swim Beach will be open to the public…. Beach times are Monday through Friday, 12 Noon to 6:00PM and Saturday and Sunday, 11:00AM to 8:00PM. When the weather threatens and a lack of attendance warrants, the COG management has the right to close the beach as needed. The summer season for the beach is Saturday, June 9th thru the end of August, 2007.

The beautiful Chestnut Run Swim Beach will offer you and your family -- three (3) months filled with swimming, sun bathing, fishing, hiking and family picnics; at a recreational facility that is clean, beautifully landscaped and conveniently located. Your family can enjoy the picturesque setting of Chestnut Run Swim Beach, offering such features as . . . . a 500 foot “guarded” sandy beach; male-female bathhouse accommodations; three (3) separate picnic areas with barbecue grills, picnic tables and a covered shelter; snack bar; and first-aid station.
